Tanner is indeed tricking Brittney: although it's open to speculation he's probably the Gaiaphage but in the form of her dead brother as an 'angel' because she'll be more likely to listen to him.

Ok. I've read all the books but haven't discovered the site til recently. I need some help. Was nerreza possessed by the gaiphage or LP or nobody. And was LP controlling people through his gameboy.? Thanks

I think it was the Gaiaphage inside of Nerezza, and Nerezza herself (the body) was Little Pete's creation.
And I don't think Little Pete was controlling ANYONE with the gameboy, but the Gaiaphage was somehow tricking Little Pete into thinking he was playing a game- when really he was helping create Nerezza's body.
Hope that made some sense, and that's how I see it..

Astrid quits the town council. They now have laws.
Drake and Brittney are the same thing. They were both brought back by the Darkness(who used Lana's healing power), and Brittney's regeneration/immortality keeps them both alive. It's very creepy. I think that the Darkness wanted it to be Drake the whole time(it just wanted Brittney for her power), but it changes into Brittney every now and again because it underestimated Brittney and her will to be strong, so it's Drake/Brittney, not just Drake.
