I'm kind of leaning on her not deserving the poof. Plague wasn't the same without her. The preschoolers and John need her! Poor John, so lonely and alone. Mary was really all John had. Which sort of gives me the feeling that John would not stay much in the FAYZ. Anyway, I still kind of think she deserved it as she was really a mess and everyone knew her bulimia/anorexia (I've always thought of her a sensitive). I don't she could've handled the talks if she stayed. Plus, her poofing is the only enjoyable thing in the climax.

It makes me mad that Mary poofed. But I think that it's good that she poofed because it added to the story.

There always needs to be those characters in every story that you just hate ;D

I don't think it was fair, since Mary might have just as well killed herself, and she left the responsibility of the Littles in the hands of her (awesome!!

) little brother John and possibly some workers. She really didn't deserve it. That's my final word on the subject. *slaps hand on the wooden debate table*

i dont think she should have because she was a lovely character

but i guess everything was too much for her so i understand why she did it

But yes, I think she deserved it. To me, Mary has always been an extremely tragic figure in the Gone series; becoming Mother Mary to her brother and the prees in Gone, before succumbing to her anorexia - the fatal flaw that afflicts all characters in a tragedy - in Hunger (actually, come to think of it, that adds yet another layer to the excellent title choice for that book). By Lies, the pressure causes her to unravel completely and when Astrid spreads the titular Lies about her being 'crazy', she finally meets her end by proving exactly that.

i think it was good because it had made the story much more detailed and added the bit about fear (not going into detail)

I didn't like her, I was kind of glad about her poofing, and her fate in Fear, she just annoyed me so much, so weak willed.
