In one of the inteviews Michael Grant was asked:
The girl that is burried in Hunger (I hope that doesn't give anything away) will she become a main character?
You mean Brittney? I'll answer this way: she will be in subsequent books. Will she live? Different question. Let's just say some very interesting things happen to poor Brittney.
and on the lies cover she is seen with Caine or Drake(can remeber which). I think Caine/Drake will offer her some sort of way of living on and then she is his slave. What does every1 else think?

Brittney just can't die, at all! I think that the slug attached to her at the end was some sort of life support, that gave her the life force to live again and rise from the dead, as we saw in the LIES preview, but I could be wrong and her power could be something like making flying pigs dance in bikinis singing Tik Tok by Ke$sha, soo you never know!

That would be SOOOO cool if Drake and Brittney teamed up! The thing is that on the last two book the two characters shown were always couples, so maybe its time that Drake gets a love interest...
