I think if I'm not wrong Michael Grant already mentioned she had a power, and now that the book has been published, he regrets it, because he doesn't have much intention of giving her a power. So, just asking for you opinion: do you think Astrid should have a power?

I think she should because MG already mentioned that she did, and also because it makes sense for her to have at least a small power when her brother is superpowerful.

I don't really want her to have a power. It shows that not all main characters need to have powers to be important.

Well, there is that power mentioned in Gone, that seems to have been retconned. However, it would be good if MG offered some sort of explanation as to what happened, whether it's in-story or not.

No, because she already has the beauty and the smarts. If she has "the full package" it wouldn't seem right. Having a character that's "perfect" (except for the fact that Astrid is annoying) in a book isn't very good for the surrounding characters.

She technically already has a power, and I believe it could be considered the power of foresight. That or knowledge of destiny. She saw that Sam was the 'brightest star in the sky' and she says she sees this after she touches a person. She's similar to Diana in this sense.

Plus, if she got powers, she might spend more time with Sam, and then they might end up together... And I don't want them to be a couple, I'd prefer them as friends... Well atm anyway, I always change my mind :)
