I went to a book shop looking for catching fire, and then I saw a book with an interesting cover, so I bought it along with catching fire. It's like killing two birlds with one stone :)

I was at a friends house, (maybe in late 2010?) and I noticed Hunger on his bedside table because of the flourescent orange pages. I had a look at the back and my friend told me he hadn't read it yet but thought it looked good, and supposedly it was about people with powers, which I'm a sucker for. So I kept my eyes open for Gone in the bookshop after that:)...

I'd seen the book a few times in the library but it seemed like a book about gang violence so I never read it. Finally though, curiosity won and I wanted to find out more about the adults disappearing so I read it, and it was nothing like I thought it was going to be! I loved it!

I was walking around the bookstore in October of 2010 looking for something to entertain me when I picked up two books: The Hunger Games (which I had heard about from friends and decided to try) and GONE (which I had never seen/heard of but the back sounded interesting). So, I ended up purchasing both of them. That night, I was confronted with a decision to make: Which should I read first? For whatever reason (I now believe it was the Gaiaphage subliminally calling me), I chose GONE. It took me quite a while to get into it (as I thought the beginning was rather slow...) but then it got so much more interesting and I finished it in a few days. Then I referred it to a friend, then another, then another, then a few more... Unfortunately, one of those friends didn't like it but the others are now huge fans like me!

I was at my library at school and I noticed Gone in the "new books" section. Unfortunately, the cover didn't appeal to me because it had the characters on it. But, what everyone says "don't judge a book by its cover" lol, so I didn't and decided to read the synopsis inside the cover and on the back. Actually on the back it said something about "orange napalm" which was used in the Vietnam War and I was learning about the Vietnam War at the time. So, it appealed to me right there. And I usually read the first couple of pages of a book before I get it. And it had me hooked from there...yeah lol. :]

i was walking around in asda and noticed it because it stood out from other books and it looked cool with the coloured pages, i had only seen it once or twice in other books stores but i never read the back cover of it so when i did read it i was like hmm i might like this, i never ever read books because i just cant be bothered but i got hooked to gone and ever since ive spent time on the gaiaphage website and pre-ordered every book and even read it on my school bus to pass the time, but if it didnt have the bright colour and didnt stand out from other books i dont think i would have read it.

It was a good friend of mine who first told me about the series. i remember we were sitting in my kitchen eating and she was going on and on about some book she read that was pretty good and how HOT the guy on the cover was. I was like whatever, she gushes about hot guys all the time. Then like a week later when i was bored I asked her what book she was talking about again and she told me it was GONE. So looked it up on my new nook decided she had a pretty good point about the guy so I read the back and bought the book. I have been hooked ever since.

I was going to buy The Hungergames, and then I saw this package of three books in one for only ten euros; Twilight, Hungergames and GONE. And though I really hate Twilight, GONE seemed very interesting, so I bought it. And I started reading it in the evening, and all of a sudden it was morning.
Then I went to buy the other books. I never even opened the THG, the book where I was going for, until three months after or so.

I found the book on the bus, and i kinda just kept it. Sorry to anyone if i took ur book

I f*cking love you. But then if I ever found that my Gone book was missing, I would probably go insane.

Oh, my Gone story. (*sighs sentimentally*) No but reall, it wasn't all that special.

So I was looking through my reccomended books on my kindle a little over a year ago when I saw a book titled Gone. Just Gone. It was so vague, I just had to click on it for the details. When I saw the description, I snorted. All of the adults in a town dissapear and the big mean bullies take over. Then the parents all come back and the kids have learned a valuble lesson. Whatever. Nothing I never saw before when I was six on PBS kids. But I was also confused...

The book had a rating of four and a half stars, and the age rating was fourteen and older. All of the reviews were raving about how amazing it was and how you shouldn't read it to young children. And it was one in a series of four books with more being written. I was completely baffled at how a book with such a childish plot could have such a reputation. Did the author really manage to make it as mature as everyone says it is? And hiw did he stretch it to fill four books? Why was it so long?

So for ten dollars, I bought it. As I read the first chapter, I regreted my decision. I was being stupid, of course it sucks. Why should I have expected anything different.

But by the end of the first book I was so hopelessly captivated and addicted that I finished the first four books in about three days. And here I am today.

My friend had bought it for me on my birthday in 2011. Gone was just one of those books lying on my book shelf, collecting dust. At first, it just kept thinking that this book was probably filled with lots of violence [boy was I right!] But I finally read it because my friend kept begging me to (even though she's never actually read it herself), I've been obsessing over the Gone series ever since.

Sixth grade, my teacher recommended it. Then I randomly found it on a book shelf at the library a few months ago and reread it, and Plague&Fear.
