The idea of someone developing a graphic novel version of Gone came into my head a few days ago, and I haven't quite been able to stop thinking about it (good thing it's summer, because if I were at school I'd have undoubtably been caught daydreaming and sent straight to the principal's office by now)

There's been other cases - Alex Rider, Darren Shan, Goosebumps - in which graphic novel versions of books were made, and the results are usually mind-blowingly awesome. All it would take was a good artist who was willing and able, and all the best and most incredible parts of the Gone series - the battle in the first book, Duck slam-dunking the Gaiaphage, Brianna and Caine battling the bugs, Dekka vs Zil, Orc vs Drake, Sam vs Caine, too many others to list here - would be transformed into scenes on pages that put your brain in danger of having an epicness overload

I'd just like to know what other people might think since, let's face it, there's really - and sadly - no guarantee we'll ever get a Gone movie.

Ahh that sounds super cool! I really doubt there will be a Gone movie though :(

That is an awesome idea, I would really love to see a graphic novel of the GONE series. Although if it is going to be something like manga it may not meet the tune of the book.

Movie would be amazing, but as most book movies, they turn out not the best... But if not, a graphic novel would be great and better than nothing :)

Yes!! This sounds great :) If they can't do a movie it's better then nothing. But I don't think it will happen though :(

The thing is, I don't think GONE has a big enough fanbase for publishers to find someone to draw the pictures, to adapt the text, and to spend money to print it. It would cost them a lot, and not that many people would read it.
I think this would be really cool though. It's times like this I curse our small fandom ;_;

I tried to make a graphic novel a couple of months ago :3 i only did the first chapter and my drawing was pretty terrible so i gave up :( if someone made a professional one though, that would be awesome :D

And about people who say: I prefer to picture the scenes in my head. Well I like doing that as well, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't want to see how someone else interprets it. I think it would be quite interesting XD

I despise graphic novels.
Of course, they could make one, I just wouldn't read it.

I've never actually read an entire graphic novel. But I'm sure if a Gone one was made I would certainly start :)

But I still prefer imagining everything in my head (this helps your imagination).

Although I certainly would prefer it to a movie/TV show. :)

Though I'll be as old as my mum by then, and that's something I want to avoid.
